After a calm and sunny day yesterday, the wind went around to the SW overnight and by mid-morning it was blowing a steady F6 with persistent rain. Not very pleasant. Friends on 'Harmonie' who were to visit us sensibly postponed, and then cancelled their trip. 2 miles in an electric powered dinghy through 1/2 metre waves directly into 20 knots of wind is not much fun. We had some swallows who arrived for a few minutes rest:
It reminded us of a mooring in Dyvig, Denmark when we had a number of swallows perched on the rail within a few centimetres of our (open) forehatch, chatting away as they do. Lovely creatures.
One of the great things about this country is the huge number of beautifully maintained classic vessels - of all types. Here's a tug which I just managed to see out of the window before he (she?) steamed past:
It stayed wet and windy all evening so I fired up the generator and we, that is Veronica, cooked dinner in the Remoska. We ate below in the cosy forward dining area.
